Focus Today is a weekday hour-long interview program, featuring guests on a variety of topics ranging from politics and finance to health and spiritual life. Hosted by a veteran journalist Perry Atkinson, Focus Today deals with important issues of the day and engages the culture in a compelling way, while demonstrating strong Christian values.
Perry Atkinson is the President & CEO of theDove Media (Radio, TV, and Digital), where he’s spent decades keeping listeners informed, encouraged, and occasionally entertained by his sense of humor. He launched his broadcasting career in 1976 in Sacramento, California, as a traffic pilot reporter for KCRA TV & Radio proving early on that he was comfortable both on the air and in the air. He later served as General Sales Manager and Pilot Reporter for KFBK Radio before he and his wife Peggy took a leap of faith in 1983 and purchased KDOV Radio in Ashland, Oregon. Since then, Perry has worn many hats including broadcaster, college founder, political leader, and visionary behind Pacific Bible College though around the studio he may be just as well known for pulling pranks as he is for broadcasting.
