"Click It Or Ticket" Reminder of Proper Safety Belt Use

Starting Wednesday, the Josephine County Sheriff’s Department is participating  in the “Click It or Ticket” safety belt enforcement campaign. The keys to remember: children under 40 pounds need a child safety seat, children under one need to be in a rear-facing child seat, and children under 8, or shorter than 4-foot-9 need to be in a booster seat.Read More »

Motorcycle Crash Victim Identified

The identity of the motorcycle rider who was killed in a accident on Beebe Road in Central Point Sunday has been revealed. Police say 30-year old Jessie Lee Boyd was traveling west at a high rate of speed when he lost control and was thrown from his Kawasaki into the path of a pick-up truck at around 11:05 a.m. Boyd was pronounced dead at the scene.
