Steelers Look Shaky After Loss To Eagles

By Jim McCoy Fri 22nd August Sports
The Pittsburgh Steelers have just over two weeks to get ready for the season opener. Suddenly, it doesn't seem like nearly enough time. The Steelers were pushed around in a 31-21 exhibition loss to Philadelphia on Thursday night. The starters on both offense and defense struggled while playing into the third quarter as the Eagles took a 24-0 lead. Safety Troy Polamalu says his team "has a lot of mistakes to correct" with one preseason game left next week against Carolina. Running backs Le'Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount combined for 55 yards rushing on 16 carries a day after being cited for marijuana possession by police. Coach Mike Tomlin said the incident had nothing to do with the team's dismal performance.
