Sports Minute: Super Bowl, Australian Open, MLK Day Hoops

UNDATED (AP) - The Super Bowl is set. The annual NFL title game will feature the NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks against the AFC Champion Denver Broncos. Seattle advanced with a 23-17 win over San Francisco, while the Broncos knocked off New England 26-16. UNDATED (AP) - Martin Luther King Day usually means a number of day games in sports and such is the case today. The NBA schedule consists of 10 games with seven of them being played this afternoon. Three first-place teams are in action this afternoon, Miami, L.A.'s Clippers and Toronto. UNDATED (AP) - Three men's college basketball games are on the schedule for this evening. Villanova is the highest ranked school in action and the sixth-ranked Wildcats are on the road for a game at No. 20 Creighton. In another game featuring two ranked schools, 12th-ranked Baylor is playing at No. 15 Kansas. The third game on the schedule has 11th-ranked Ohio State at Nebraska. UNDATED (AP) - The NHL has a pair of matinee games to choose from today. The early start has the Flyers skating in New York against the Islanders while the Bruins are hosting the Kings. On tap tonight, Florida is at Pittsburgh, the Red Wings are home to St. Louis, Dallas is at Nashville, the Coyotes are playing host to Toronto and Calgary is at San Jose. MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) - Now that we are in the second week of play at the Australian Open there are less matches on each day's schedule. The highest seed in action tonight, U.S. time, is men's No. 2 Novak Djokovic (NOH'-vak JOH'-kuh-vich) as he is facing eighth-seed Stanislas Wawrinka (vah-VINK'-ah). Fourth-seed Li Na (lee nah) is the highest seed for the women with a match and she is going up against No. 28 Flavia Pennetta.
