UNDATED (AP) - Kentucky, the top team in The Associated Press men's top-25 basketball poll, starts its season tonight. The Wildcats are home to UNC-Asheville. Kentucky has been dominant in season opening games, going 90-19. STORRS, Conn. (AP) - There's a Top-25 college football game this evening as Louisville is playing at Connecticut. The 6-1 Cardinals are ranked 20th in the poll and are facing a team that has lost eight straight. The last win for the Huskies came last November when they upset the Cardinals in triple-overtime. SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) - Kevin Dineen (duh-NEEN') has been dismissed as coach of the Florida Panthers. The Panthers have lost seven straight and are 14th in the 16-team Eastern Conference of the NHL. In three seasons Dineen was 56-62-28. CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Charlotte Bobcats coach Steve Clifford was hospitalized Thursday night because he wasn't feeling good. President of basketball operations Rod Higgins says Clifford is undergoing additional tests and that he is not clear when he'll be able to coach again. INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The unbeaten Indiana Pacers are back in action tonight. The 6-0 Pacers are the last unbeaten team in the NBA and this evening they're facing the Raptors in Indianapolis. With a win the Pacers would have their best start in franchise history.
