Rogues Hire Boyd As Assistant GM

Baseball season may be over, but that doesn’t mean one local team isn’t busy. The Medford Rogues of the collgiate wood bat summer Wes Coast League ia going local as they hire an Assistant General Manager. Former South Medford star Griffin Boyd, who played collegiately at Western Oregon, while studying communication and sports management will assist Chuck Heeman. Heeman says Boyd is the perfect fit with his knowledge of the Rogue Valley and his sales experience. He also notes boyd has seen the west coast league first hand, having played for the Corvallis Knights. The announcement comes amid a flurry of activity as the Rogues sign numerous players in preparation for the 2014 campaign- including three Oregon Ducks, among them- blue chip prospect Alex Jackson.
