The Medford Rogues today announced that the University of Oregon baseball team will stop in Medford on Monday, March 24 for an afternoon workout and public appearance. The Ducks will be on a road trip from Eugene to California to play San Francisco and Stanford, and will make a stop at Harry & David Field.
Tentative scheduling has the Ducks practicing at noon with an autograph and “meet the fans” session to follow. March 24 is during spring break periods for Southern Oregon schools.
“The Rogues have a very strong connection with the Ducks,” Rogues General Manager Chuck Heeman said. “Our coach, Josh Hogan, is a former Oregon player and coach, and they’ve been very good to us in sending players in our first year. George Horton and the staff there have also committed some top-level players to the Rogues for 2014. By the time we see them in March we’ll be able to watch some future Rogues on the field. We want to really put on a great show for the Ducks in March, treat them well and make sure our fans get to meet one of the best college baseball teams in the country.”
Specific times, ticket prices and more details will be released as the event approaches.
