NEW YORK (AP) - The starting pitchers have been announced for tomorrow night's All Star Game. Getting the ball from National League manager Bruce Bochy (BOH'-chee) will be Matt Harvey of the Mets while Max Scherzer will start for American League skipper Jim Leyland (LEE'-lind). The start is special for Harvey as the game is taking place in his home ballpark, New York's Citi Field. NEW YORK (AP) - The annual Home Run Derby contest will take place tonight in Citi Field, the home of the New York Mets. The American League roster includes Robinson Cano of the Yankees, Yoenis Cespedes of the A's, Baltimore's Chris Davis and Detroit's Prince Fielder. The National League roster includes Pedro Alvarez of the Pirates, Michael Cuddyer of the Rockies, Washington's Bryce Harper and David Wright of the Mets. ATLANTA (AP) - Free agent Elton Brand has signed with the Atlanta Hawks. The 34-year-old averaged 7.2 points and 6.0 rebounds per game last season in 72 games with the Dallas Mavericks. UNIONDALE, N.Y. (AP) - Restricted free agent Josh Bailey has come to terms on a contract with the New York Islanders. He's getting a five-year, $16.5 million deal. Bailey, who was the Islanders' No. 9 pick in the 2008 draft, had 11 goals and eight assists in 38 games and added three assists in six playoff games. COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel (man-ZEHL') has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge stemming from his arrest last year for fighting outside a bar near campus. As part of a plea deal, other charges against the 20-year-old, including disorderly conduct, were dismissed.
