NBA, NFL, Senior's Tour, Kentucky Derby Make Friday Headlines

KENTUCKY DERBY As Louisville and Churchill Downs get ready for tomorrow's Kentucky Derby, the annual Kentucky Oaks is on tap today. This is the race that features the top fillies every year. The purse is $1 million. Trainer Todd Pletcher has four horses in the race, including 3-1 favorite Dreaming of Julia. NBA PREVIEW Four more NBA playoff games are being played tonight and in three of the games the visiting team can walk off the court with a clinching victory. Leading three games to two, the Knicks are at Boston, the Pacers are in Atlanta and the Thunder are playing the Rockets in Houston. The remaining game tonight features Memphis at home to the Clippers. The Grizzlies top that series 3-2 as well. WARRIOR WIN, MOVE ON The Golden State Warriors advanced to the second round of the NBA playoffs last night. They beat Denver 92-88 as Stephen Curry had 22 points. The Warriors will face San Antonio in the first game of their second-round series in San Antonio Monday. NHL PLAYOFF SCHEDULE A check of the Stanley Cup playoff schedule tonight shows four games this evening. Chicago is playing host to Minnesota in Game 2 of that series while Pittsburgh is home to the Islanders, Montreal is hosting Ottawa and San Jose is at Vancouver. The Blackhawks, Penguins, Senators and Sharks all won the first game of their respective series. GOLF CHAMPION'S TOUR The opening round of the Champions Tour Insperity Championship is being played today in Texas. The defending champion is Fred Funk, who nosed out Tom Lehman for the win last year.
