The University of Montana's Athletic Conduct Team has reinstated Jordan Johnson to the football team after hearing his appeal on Monday.
The university said in a news release Tuesday morning that UM President Royce Engstrom also approved the quarterback's reinstatement.
Johnson, of Eugene, Ore., appealed his suspension from the team over the weekend. He was acquitted Friday of sexual intercourse without consent.
School officials say he is back on the team effective immediately.
Spring drills begin on March 18.
