South Medford Grad Wins Portland Marathon
A former South Medford soccer star captured the women's crown Sunday atthe 41st running of the Portland Marathon Sunday. Colleen Little, known in high school as Colleen Salisbury, won the race with a time of 2 hours, 51 minutes and 35 seconds. The time beats her prior personal best by 3 minutes.
Little, who also played soccer in the college ranks, finished second last month in the Rogue Run Half Marathon. More than 9,500 runners competed in the 26.2 mile event.
Jameson Mora of Arroyo Grande, Ca. was the top men's finisher with a time of 2:21:09.
