Faith and Other Flat Tires - Andrea Palpant Dilley
Daughter of medical missionaries, Andrea grew up in a faith-filled family. But the suffering she saw in East Africa sowed seeds of doubt that sprouted when she got to college. At 21, she removed the Christian fish symbol from the back of her car; by 23 she left the church. In her interview with Perry Atkinson she describes how God never took his eye off her during her two years roaming. Doubt, she sees now, is not the same thing as despair. It's an honest part of our longing for God, Who runs to meet us when we realize that we'll find the answers at home with Him.
