Temporary Southbound Exit Off I-5 Opens Tuesday

A temporary Interstate 5 southbound off-ramp will open early Tuesday, July 1, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation at the Phoenix exit 24. This is the next step in the Fern Valley Interchange project. Motorists will want to be alert when using the temporary off-ramp. There will be a 20 miles per hour speed limit posted. Rumble strips will also be employed.

Another Cost Overrun Occurs On Highway 20 Project

The Oregon Department of Transportation is facing another $90 million overrun to realign Highway 20 through the Coast Range, and the agency says it could abandon a six-mile stretch near Eddyville. Medford Street Projects Will Cause Closures

Motorists in Medford will want to be aware that work being performed on Summit Avenue, from Haven to West Jackson, and on West Jackson from Summit to North Columbus will cause street closures this week. Bob’s Backhoe Service will be working in the right-of-way from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Detours will be in place. Travelers are encouraged to seek alternate routes.Read More »
