A paraglider who lost control of his chute was rescued a Woodrat Mountain outside of Ruch Thursday night. The Applegate Valley Fire District received the 911 call at 6:30 p.m. The pilot lost control shortly after takeoff, and fell 50-75 vertical feet, landing in trees and rocks about 125 feet down the cliff.
