The first Occupy SOU event yesterday saw around 50 people in attendance. Among the demonstrators were students, community members and members of Occupy Ashland.
Demonstrators marched from SOU to downtown Ashland. organizers say there hasn’t been enough of a student presence to date in the Occupy Ashland movement.
Speakers at the meeting said that students need to speak out against the high amount of student loan debt.
