Pacific Power Announces Solar Project In Klamath County

Pacific Power is announcing they are bringing a solar facility online. The utility says the project being built in Klamath County will bring five megawatts of solar capacity to work for its customers and be the largest in the state.

Pacific Power is offering a $1,000 reward to help find whoever was responsible for breaking into their power buildings in the 1100 block of Mill Creek Drive in Prospect. The burglary occurred sometime over between 2:15 p.m.on August 31, and 10 a.m. on September 1st . Thieves took air compressors, tools, power supplies, flood lights and a shop vacuum. Pacific Power Increasing Reward For Metal Thieves

Pacific Power is increasing a reward they offering to catch metal thieves to $5,000. In recent days, the utility says seven power poles outside Grants Pass were cut down and the metal from the poles taken. A Pacific Power spokesman says $50,000 worth of wire and other equipment has been taken in the last six months. The latest incident will cost more than $75,000 dollars to repair.Read More »

Malfunction Cuts The Power To About 1,300 Monday Morning

1,300 Pacific Power customers in east Medford found themselves in the dark this morning. A malfunction at the Roxy Ann substation that occurred at about 6 a.m. was responsible for the power outage. Electricity to all but about 130 customers was restored within about 15 minutes.Read More »

Over 2,600 Shady Cove Area Residents Without Power, Lightning Blamed

A lightning strike around 10 p.m. Monday night resulted in the loss of power to 2,650 Pacific Power customers in the Shady Cove area and the closure today of Shady Cove School. The strike hit two distribution lines near Lost Creek Lake. Power is expected to be restored to all but 82 customers in the Lewis Road area, east of Stewart State Park this morning.Read More »

Reward Offered in Case of Prospect Tool Theft

Up to $3,500 in reward money is being offered by to help solve the theft of tools in the 1000 block of Mill Creek Drive and the 400-500 block of Red Blanket Road in Prospect from Pacific Power.
