The last time was in 2010, the first was in 2003. 29 were arrested for drunk driving the 30 hour holiday period. Last year, 78 were cited for DUII. Name Of Truck Driver Found Dead Released By OSP

The name of a commercial truck driver found dead in his vehicle Monday has been released. 49-year old Wally Gene Neal of Mack’s Creek, Missouri failed to check in with his employer Crete Carrier Corporation, prompting a call to the Oregon State Police. The truck was found at a truck stop in Chemult. While performing a welfare check, Neal’s body was discovered in the sleeper berth.Read More »

The Oregon State Police is continuing the investigation of a fatal motorcycle crash scene discovered by an ODOT maintenance crew Monday along Highway 140E about one mile west of Adel in Lake County. Traffic Stop On Interstate 5 Leads To Discovery of 11 Pounds of Marijuana

The Oregon State Police turned up 11 pounds of marijuana during traffic stop Friday at 7:40 a.m. on Interstate 5 near Cottage Grove. A trooper stopped a vehicle driven by 32-year old Robert Pearson Jr. of Federal Way, Washington for speeding. A search of his Nissan Altima turned up 11 pounds of pot. - A State Police bomb squad has disabled what authorities believe were improvised explosive devices in a Coos Bay home. The World newspaper of Coos Bay reported that police working on a domestic violence report learned about weapons, ammunition and possible explosive devices. One Jailed, Another Critically Wounded After Shooting in Cave Junction

An Illinois Valley man has been arrested after a parking lot shooting in Cave Junction. The victim is hospitalized at Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass, where he is critical condition.
