NFL Draft: No 1st Round Pick? No Problem Say The Seahawks

By Jim McCoy Mon 22nd April NFL draftSeattle Seahawks
Since Seattle doesn't own a first-round pick thanks to a trade with Minnesota, Seahawks general manager John Schneider joked his staff would spend the first night of the draft watching YouTube highlights of Percy Harvin. The draft is now a luxury for the Seahawks thanks to the additions they made during the offseason, highlighted by the trade for Harvin. The Seahawks' first selection is set for the second round on Friday night, the 56th overall pick. It's the first of 10 picks Seattle owns, including eight on the final day. Along with adding Harvin, Seattle addressed needs on the defensive line and added veteran Antoine Winfield to an already talented secondary. The Seahawks are likely to look at linebacker, defensive line and tight end, and are almost certain to take another quarterback to compete for the job of backing up Russell Wilson.
