Medford duplex fire update
A fire at a West Medford duplex early yesterday morning caused significant damage to the roof, along with smoke and water damage to the interior, and that of the neighboring residence.
The occupant of the duplex, Stephanie Stanley, was alerted to the fire by neighbors, and was able to escape safely along with her young child, roommate and her roommate’s child.
The 16-hundred square foot building suffered severe damage to the attic, ceilings and interiors. Five fire engines and 18 fire and rescue personnel responded to the blaze, the cause of which is still under investigation.
