A K9 officer enabled Grants Pass police to catch a fugitive Sunday night.
At 10:30 p-m, witnesses reported seeing 28-year old David Jacob Wise was seen at a residence on SW “I” St. When police arrived, 28-year old Kara Freeman allowed authorities inside, but lied about Wise’s whereabouts. He was later discovered in the attic. After several hours of trying to coax him out, officers deployed pepper spray. The police dog apprehended wise, who was wanted on a parole violation, and now faces a charge of resisting arrest. Freeman was also arrested for possession of meth and hindering prosecution.
