Grants Pass Man Arrested For Shooting

The Oregon State Police arrested a 32-year old Grants Pass man for allegedly assaulting a 34-year old man and firing shots at his wife. Monday night at around 8:30 p.m., three OSP troopers responded to shots fired in the 4600 block of Rogue River Highway. Before arriving, police were notified that the suspect, Jeremy Joulsohn, left on foot. Joulsohn was reportedly upset with his wife and pointed a rifle at her before a witness and the woman tried to grab the barrel and point it away from any people in the parking lot where the incident occurred. Joulsohn allegedly fire several shots across Rogue River Highway. The suspect was located at a nearby residence and was arrested without incident. He faces charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon, menacing, assault in the third degree, and failure to appear in court. The victim sustained facial injuries in the struggle.
