Medford Shooting Suspect Jailed

A 32-year old shooting suspect was arrested at the Minute Market on Highland Drive in Medford Sunday night. Curtis Lee Wiles faces charges of attempted murder, assault, recklessly endangering another person and possession of meth. At 10:22 p.m., the Medford Police Department received a report from Rogue Regional Medical Center of a man being treated for a gunshot wound to the hip. The investigation revealed the incident occurred in the area of Plum Street and Winchester Avenue. Wiles was located at the Minute Market location noted above and arrested. The victim is listed in stable condition. There is no indication at this time that the incident was gang related. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone who may know details is asked to call the Medford Police Department.
