Douglas County authorities say a trailer park resident has been accused of firing a handgun during a New Year's Day fight described by one officer as "a big drunken brawl."
The Roseburg News-Review (http://bit.ly/1iwB6mi ) reports that 42-year-old Gerald Delane Jordan was jailed on charges that included attempted murder. Bail was set at $221,250.
The paper reports fighting broke out about 20 minutes after midnight, eight people were involved, and Jordan's girlfriend was shoved.
The sheriff's department reported that Jordan got a gun from his trailer and fired it several times.
No one was hurt. A vehicle and trailer were damaged.
