Injured Cougar Spotted In Talent, Killed Over Safety Concerns

By Jim McCoy Wed 16th October Newsinjured cougar
A severely injured cougar that had been spotted twice yesterday in the community of Talent was shot and killed by police. They say the animal had become a “public safety concern” as it had lost its fear of people. When the second report came in around 5 p.m., the caller said the cougar was “leaning up against a house, and looked as though it had no intention of leaving.” It is suspected the cougar had been hit by a car and the rear of its body near its left hind leg was bloodied and scraped up badly.
