Progress Being Made on New Fires

Crews are said to be making good progress on a string of small wildfires caused by lightning in the last two days, according to the latest report from the Rogue River- Siskiyou National Forest. 14 fires were started Wednesday and Thursday from lightning strikes- the largest being the 25-acre Iron Knob Fire near Applegate Lake. Cloudiness and cooler temperatures expected for the weekend; however, more storm activity is forecast for Sunday.
