By Jim McCoy Thu 15th August Newsfatal accidentKathleen Roberta Wilson
A 60-year old Trail woman has been identified as the flagger that was killed by a passing commercial truck on Interstate 5 near Wolf Creek Wednesday. Kathleen Roberta Wilson was part of a work crew performing a paving project. She parked a pick-up truck towing a trailer and had parked it to pick up a portable sign standing in the grass next to the guardrail on the opposite side of the freeway. The flasher and caution lights had been activated. Jose Guadalupe Botello Sr. was headed north, when he crossed the right fog line, sideswiped the pick-up and trailer. A portion of the trailer went over the top of the guardrail and struck Wilson. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The Oregon State Police are investigating.
