The Salvation Army in Medford is needing more fans to distribute to the needy. According to a press release issued this morning, the church renown for its assistance to the needy, has exhausted its supplies. To date, the Salvation Army in Medford has given out 115 fans to seniors, the disabled and others who deal with heat-related health risks. That's just 11 fewer than what they gave out for the entire year in 2012. Donations of new or used fans may be made at the Salvation Army church office at 304 Beatty Street, or their thrift store at 922 N. Central downtown. Monetary donations are also being accepted. Those may also be mailed to P.O. Box 757, Medford, Oregon, 97501. For additional information, call (541) 772-8149 or (541) 773-6965.
