A 33 year old White City man is accused of scamming a local business out of $780 worth of product. Claiming he represented Jay’s Construction, Robert Hutson allegedly ordered lumber from American Lumber in Central Point. The products were delivered to a White City work site.
The company attempted to reach the contractor confirm delivery address, but were not able to reach anybody and the lumber was delivered. Jay’s learned of the delivery from a phone message, and contacted to the retailer to let them know they did not request it.
Later, police found Hutson attempting to pick up the products and he quickly left the scene. He was caught and cited for identity theft.
