The Oregon State Police say they are looking for a commercial truck driver responsible for hitting a pedestrian walking southbound on Interstate 5 near Roseburg at milepost 116. 31-year old Gabriel Ryan Johnson was critically injured when he was hit Thursday morning between two and tree. The driver also hit a concrete barrier on the freeway during the incident. The driver did not stop to offer aid. Police say the truck likely has fresh damage to the driver’s side front corner or left side. There is no confirmed color or description of the vehicle. Johnson is described as a transient. The lack of personal identification made it difficult to notify family. Police were finally able to find the family of the victim in Harrisburg. The Oregon State Police Southern Command Dispatch is taking calls for information. If you know anything that can help in the investigation, call toll free at 1-800-442-2068.
