Arson The Cause of Barney's Burgers Fire

By Jim McCoy Tue 18th June NewsarsonBarney's Burgers
Police say an early morning blaze at a Medford restaurant was intentionally started. Police say a suspect broke into Barney’s Burgers at 417 N. Riverside Ave., took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and set the establishment on fire. Firefighters had it under control seven minutes after they arrived in response to the 12:20 a.m. report. The seating area at the front was destroyed and smoke damage permeated the building. Since April 2012, the area has seen a string of a dozen fires that have been attributed to arson or called suspicious. All have been in vacant homes.
