Supects Arrested In Burglary of Businesses in Sparta Building

A surveillance video helped lead Medford police to the suspects involved in the burglary of two businesses located in the Sparta building T 16 n. Riverside Monday night. This was the second break-in of the building in two weeks. An officer recognized 42-year old Joseph Perez Miyazaki from a prior contact. When approached by authorities at the Medford Gospel Mission, he admitted to the crimes and was taken into custody. Further investigation led police to a second suspect, 22-year old Cameron Manning. He was arrested at a homeless camp near Bear Creek Park. Stolen property was recovered there, and Manning admitted to his participation. More stolen good were also recovered at the home of 50-year David Sumner Jones in the 800 block of E. 9th Street. He did not participate in the burglaries, but received some of the stolen property. He was also arrested.
