Medford Police Investigating Arsons of Vacant Homes

Medford Police and the Medford fire department are investigating a string of arsons occuring in vacant homes over the course of the last year. This morning, fire crews put out a fire in a vacant home today at 6:23 a.m. at 1947 Stewart Avenue. The fire caused significant damage to the residence. They believe this fire is connected to seven others at vacant homes, all of them in southwest Medford- including West 11th St., Thomas Rd, South Ivy, Narregan, W. Main St., S. Columbus, and one other fire in February on Stewart Avenue. Anyone who has information is asked to call Detective Bill Ford at (541) 774-2230.
