Medford Traffic Stop Results In Numerous Drug Charges

While making a traffic stop in Medford due to a problem with a vehicle license plate, a Jackson County Sheriff's deputy discovered drugs, drug packaging materials and cash. 28- year old Robert Hampton was arrested on Wednesday, just after midnight, near the intersection of Highway 238 and North Ross Lane. Hampton already had warrants out for his arrest. He had $1,300 cash wrapped in rubber bands, hypodermic needles, two glass smoking pipes, four grams of meth, a digital scale and small plastic bags. A female passenger was cleared of any illegal activity. Hampton is being held on $530,000 bail.
