A burglary that was reported in the 4700 block of Cloudcrest Drive in Medford on Monday afternoon. The investigation led authorities to conclude the crime occurred while the homeowners were at home asleep the night before, at about the same time that two break ins occurred in the 6000 block of Hillcrest Road. In addition, a stolen BMW was discovered in a ditch in the same area. The vehicle was taken from a home in the first block of Barneburg Road. In one of the Hillcrest burglaries, the homeowner discovered the suspects in his garage, but they fled on foot, leaving through a side entrance. The suspects are described as two white males in their 20s with scraggly facial hair. Police Lt. Mike Budreau says that the occurrence of burglaries while residents are home is rare. Homeowners are encouraged to lock all their doors, windows and garages.
