Officers and citizens who "went above and beyond the call of duty to serve their community in 2012" will be honored tonight at the Rogue Valley Country Club. The Medford Police Department will hold an awards banquet.
Six will be recognized for saving lives, one officer will be awarded for his heroic actions in protecting a fellow officer, and 11 individuals will be given awards of "Outstanding Achievement" for a variety of accomplishments. Once officer will receive recognition for earning a top score on a shooting course.
