A driver who triggered a fatal accident on Interstate 5 will face drunk driving charges related to the collision. The Oregon State Police says they took 26-year old Joshua Davis into custody Thursday after his release from Mercy Medical Center.
At 4:25 a.m. on Sunday, March 3, Davis was traveling north on the southbound side of the freeway when he collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 44-year Victor Anderson of Oakland. Anderson was pronounced dead the scene of the crash near milepost 102.
Davis is charged with 1st degree manslaughter, DUII and recklessly endangering another person. He will be tried in Douglas County.
