A travel trailer in White City on Avenue “A” was destroyed by an early morning fire. Jackson County Fire District 3 battled the blaze, responding to a call at 3:14 a.m. Firefighters were able to quickly stop the fire’s spread to an adjacent travel trailer. A woman living in the trailer was hospitalized for smoke inhalation. A youngster living in the trailer escaped without injury. A cat died in the fire.
