President Obama has outlined some general ideas for a new national immigration plan. The president says he'd like to see border security strengthened, tighten laws against employers who hire illegal aliens, while allowing them to earn a path to citizenship. At a Medford town hall meeting, Oregon Republican Congressman Greg Walden says he'd like to see another aspect of immigration reform incorporated to allow guest workers in the nation. However, Walden says he doesn't think a general blanket of amnesty for illegal aliens is a good idea. He says it was tried in the 1980's and didn't work well at that time either.
