Single Vehicle Crash Kills One Near Phoenix

Police are still trying to identify the driver of a 1995 Jeep Wrangler who died in a crash on a straight stretch of Highway 99 just south of Phoenix near Cabbage Lane. The accident occurred at approximately 3:05 a.m. this morning. An investigation has determined that the vehicle had traveled onto the shoulder, collided with a utility pole and then crashed into a large tree. The Jeep had become engulfed in flames. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
