'World COPD Day' Grants Pass Connection

The Asante Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass, OR. has given free lung test screenings for anyone who might think they are among the 12 million who don't know they have COPD. Respiratory therapist Shari Cunningham says quite often those with COPD don't even know they have a problem. She adds that COPD results in more deaths than breast cancer and while it can't be cured, it can be controlled.
