One Vote Made The Difference In Canyoville; Other Races Remain Close
Think one vote doesn’t matter? Not in Canyonville, where one vote is making the difference on a city council race. Cheryl Loomis has 289 votes and Susan Moran-Kaidme has 288. The two are close friends, and even campaigned together. Four candidates ran for city council, with the top three vote getters get elected.
A recount will occur in the Josephine County Commissioner’s race where Cherryl Walker leads Bob Just by 66 votes. In that race, over 6-thousand voters skipped voting on that race.
In Coos County, 19 votes separate Bob Main and Fred Messerle for a spot on the Board of Commissioners.
