Accused Bike Trail Vandal No Longer Employed By Jackson County

By Jim McCoy Wed 31st October NewsVandalism
A psychiatrist accused of sabotaging mountain-biking trails in the Ashland watershed no longer works for Jackson County. County officials say Jackson Dempsey stopped working for the county on Oct. 19, but wouldn't tell the Mail Tribune whether Dempsey was fired or resigned. Court records indicate Dempsey is negotiating a plea agreement on reckless endangerment and assault charges. He's accused of placing nails, nylon cord and vegetation on trails this summer because he does not like mountain bikers. Associated Press
