Deadlines Loom to Register For the General Election

There's just a little more than a month left before the election. Jackson County Clerk Chris Walker is issuing the following reminders for potential voters.

The voter registration deadline for the November 6 General Election is October 16 for people registering to vote in Oregon for the first time.

If you are currently registered to vote in the state of Oregon, but have moved, changed your mailing address or name you will need to update your registration.  Ballots are not forwardable.

Voter registration cards can now be submitted online at www.oregonvotes.gov (Register).  You can also print a paper copy of a voter registration card at the above website.

Voter registration cards are also available through a link at www.jacksoncounty.org, the department of motor vehicles (DMV), your local post office or in the Jackson County elections office.
