BREAKING NEWS: Power Outage In Eagle Point, High School Is Closing For Day (10:17 a.m.)

A power outage in Eagle Point this morning is resulting in a closure at Eagle Point High School. Buses will be taking high school students home a 10:30 a.m.

It is important to note that per the Eagle Point School District office- ALL other schools will maintain their full day schedules.

No details are available at this moment on the cause or the extent of the outage. We will pass those along as they become available.

UPDATE: theDove TV has learned from a representative at Pacific Power that the outage in Eagle Point is the result of a downed power line. Power was lost at 9:13 a.m. The reasons for the incident are not yet known.
