Accounts Reveal Two Sides of Mark Corsbie
A conflicting picture has emerged of a man who was fatally shot after trying to force his way into a White City home this week. Friends and relatives have described 49-year-old Mark Corsbie as a loving family man, but court documents obtained by the Medford Mail Tribune suggest he suffered from a mental illness that would send him into rages.
A restraining order obtained by his ex-wife on April 18 describes a series of violent episodes earlier this year. Investigators say residents reported seeing Corsbie acting erratically Monday.
When he tried to force his way inside one door, a 66-year-old man shot him with a handgun. The shooter has not been charged with a crime. Investigators say it appears he acted in self-defense.
