Fatal Crash On Interstate 5 Under Investigation

UPDATE (12:12 p.m.) The driver has been identified as 62-year old Daniel J. Schnoor of Hornbrook, California.

Oregon State Police say a 62-year-old man has died in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 5. Sergeant David Beck says the driver of lost control of his Ford Expedition and traveled off the roadway about seven miles north of the California state line.

     The man was pronounced dead at the scene late Thursday night. His name has been withheld pending notification of next of kin. He was reportedly not wearing a safety restraint.
