Klamath Man Sentenced For Burning Infant
A 29-year-old Klamath Falls man found guilty of intentionally burning an infant was sentenced Thursday to 20 years in prison. The Herald and News reportsJedadya Tamrin River Ferguson received the maximum sentence.He was convicted last month in circuit court of assault and criminal mistreatment.
The victim was the 10-month old son of his fiance at the time in May 2011. Prosecutors say he suffered first-, second- and third-degree burns from his nose to his toes. Ferguson said the burns were caused by an accidental spill of hot coffee.
