Rosenblum Appointed Oregon AG by Governor
Gov. John Kitzhaber has appointed Ellen Rosenblum as Oregon attorney general - a job she was headed for in any case. Rosenblum succeeds John Kroger, who's resigning to become president of Reed College in Portland. Kroger decided last year not to run for re-election as a result of a health condition he hasn't disclosed publicly.
Last month, Rosenblum, a former judge, won the Democratic nomination for attorney general. Her chief opposition in the fall will probably be a Republican who mounted a write-in campaign.
Rosenblum will be sworn in June 29.
