Ferry-Morse Announces They Will Leave White City

After being acquired by Seed Holdings Friday, a Kentucky-based company is announcing plans to close its garden seed distribution center in southern Oregon.
     The Ferry-Morse Seed Co. notified state officials Monday that the layoff will be complete by December 31 of some 200 employees nationally- including the White City distribution center.
     Ferry-Morse opened the facility in 2009, anticipating it would
reduce transportation costs and time needed to serve West Coast
customers.
