Early Primary Election Returns: Heckert, Briedenthal Among Early Leaders
The first batch of returns are in from the Jackson County Clerk's office. The results are as follows:
JACKSON COUNTY D.A.
Beth Heckert holds a sizable advantage over Rob Patridge and David Hoppe. Heckert has 55 percent of the vote thus far, to nearly 28 percent for Patridge and 16 percent for Hoppe.

Republican
Doug Breidenthal leads a field of four. He has 43 percent of the vote, compared to 26 percent for Colleen Roberts. Joel Ockunzzi is in third with 21 percent, while Kay Harrison has 7 percent.
Democrat
Jeff Scroggin has a strong advantage over his two opponents. Scroggins is polling at 61 percent, while John Beatty has a shade under 21 percent. Mark Soderstrom rns third with almost 17 percent.
JACKSON COUNTY ASSESSOR
Josh Gibson holds an advantage over Roy Wright by a virtual 56-44 percent margin.
JACKSON COUNTY SURVEYOR
Kerry Bradshaw has a strong lead at 67-33 percent.
